蒼耳旅行記小蒼耳刺球已經長大了。這一天，媽媽對刺球說：「孩子，你已經長大了，該出去盪盪了。」刺球舒展了身上的刺，漫不經心地問：「媽媽，我該怎樣出去盪呢？」「你呀，就知道睡，也不看看你哥哥姐姐怎樣旅行的。」蒼耳媽媽說，「當其他動物來的時候，你就用你刺上的小掛鉤掛住動物的毛，讓它們帶著你走。」一隻大老虎走過來了，「你快跳到它身上去。」蒼耳媽媽趕緊說。「哦，我這就去，媽媽再見。」刺球邊說邊行動。「不是再見，而是永別。」蒼耳媽媽糾正說。「啊，不，媽媽。我不要離開你。」刺球差點要哭出來了。「孩子，不要難過，我們蒼耳都是這樣的。」看著刺球離去，蒼耳媽媽雖然心中不舍，可還是鼓勵刺球。跟著大老虎，刺球走過了小樹林。一路上，小樹向它招手，花兒向它問好。刺球心中的憂傷逐漸被沖淡。「我的坐騎真不錯！」刺球有點得意。正想著，它的目光停住了，原來，一支槍正慢慢逼近了毫無知覺的大老虎，刺球不禁擔心了起來。「砰」的一聲，大老虎被麻醉槍射中了，它像喝醉了酒似的，搖晃了幾下，便倒在了地上。刺球只覺得一陣天旋地轉，就被大老虎重重地壓在了地上。眼前一片漆黑，刺球覺得自己快要完蛋了，它不禁想起了媽媽。刺球沮喪極了，心想：難道就這樣被壓在這暗無天日的地方嗎？可是，一會兒，刺球的身邊就傳來了聲音：「它就在那兒！」一群人圍了上來，原來這只大老虎是從動物園里逃出來的，叔叔們正奉命把它捉拿回去呢！刺球心中一喜，它還從來沒去過這個地方呢，真想去看看。「什麼東西這么扎人？」突然間，刺球被人從大老虎身上扯了下來。就這樣，大老虎走了，刺球被留了下來。它看看旁邊，，小草在風中搖擺著身姿，一些不知名的花兒在草叢里忽隱忽現，不遠處，幾棵大樹挺立著，樹下還有小蟲在低吟。它喜歡這個地方，便鑽進黑黝黝的泥土裡，和小草做了朋友。一年以後，一株蒼耳從泥土裡鑽出來，它就是刺球。它對自己的孩子也是這么說的：「你要掛在動物的身上，讓它們帶你日行千里……」

Chinese Knot or Chinese traditional decorating Knot is a kind of characteristic folk decorations of handicraft art. Appeared in ancient time, developed in Tang and Song Dynasty (960-1229A.D.)and popularized in Ming and Qing Dynasty
(1368-1911A.D.) Chinese Knot has now become a kind of elegant and colorful arts and crafts from its original practical use.
The characteristic of Chinese Knot is that every knot is made of a single rope and named by its specific form and meaning. By combining different knots or other auspicious adornments(吉祥的裝飾品) skillfully, an unique auspicious ornament which represents beauty, idea and wishes is formed. For example, "Full of joy". "Happiness & Longevity", "Double Happiness". "Luck and Auspiciousness as one wishes" and "Wish you a fair wind" are Chinese traditional pleasant phrases expressing warmest regards, best wishes and finest ideal.
To fit in with the needs of modern life, Chinese Knot has various procts. The two main series are auspicious hanging and knitting clothing adornment. Auspicious hanging includes large tapestry, big room hanging, automobile hanging etc. Knitting clothing adornment includes ring, eardrop, hand chain, necklace and other woman's special adornments.

There is this story about the moon-cake. ring the Yuan dynasty (A.D. 1280-1368) China was ruled by the Mongolian people. Leaders from the preceding Sung dynasty (A.D. 960-1280) were unhappy at submitting to the foreign rule, and set how to coordinate the rebellion without being discovered. The leaders of the rebellion, knowing that the Moon Festival was drawing near, ordered the making of special cakes. Backed into each moon cake was a message with the outline of the attack. On the night of the Moon Festival, the rebels successfully attached and overthrew the government. Today, moon cakes are eaten to commemorate this legend and was called the Moon Cake.
For generations, moon cakes have been made with sweet fillings of nuts, mashed red beans, lotus-seed paste or Chinese dates(棗子), wrapped in a pastry. Sometimes a cooked egg yolk can be found in the middle of the rich tasting dessert. People compare moon cakes to the plum pudding and fruit cakes which are served in the English holiday seasons.
